Central Network Services Interruption On Oct 29 (Sat) Morning

There was an unexpected hardware fault in our central network switch this morning, affecting the normal operation of part of our on-premises private cloud infrastructure. A number of central network services were thus affected. These mainly include access to our staff/student intranet, central administrative services, centrally hosted web sites, virtual barn, etc. All public cloud services like Office 365. Canvas and Zoom were not affected.

All affected services have resumed normal the latest by around 11am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you.
