Migrating from Office 365 pilot account to OneDrive - HKUST

The pilot run of Office 365 will be ended after 31 March 2016 and you will not be able to access your files with your @o365.ust.hk account. Pilot users will need to backup your files (or copy your files to your HKUST Office 365 account) and email messages if necessary.

Backup files in your pilot account

If you just have a few files in your pilot OneDrive, you may simply download them to your PC or Mac and then drag and drop files to OneDrive for Business. You may also share your documents or folders to others if you used to share files with other users.

If you have a lot of folders and files, it is recommended for you to use the Windows Sync application to sync your files to local hard disk and then sync your the files to OneDrive for Business again.

For Mac users, similar migration steps are required but you will need OneDrive for Business Next Generation Sync Client on Mac OS X.

For mobile users such as iPad, iPhone, you may just sign out your @o365.ust.hk account and then sign in with your HKUST account with your apps such as OneDrive – Cloud storage for files photos apps or OneDrive for Business in order to access your files. Android users may also remove your pilot account and add your OneDrive for Business account with the Microsoft Office Mobile apps.

Backup email in your pilot account

If you also have important email messages in your @o365.ust.hk pilot account, please backup them or forward them to your HKUST email account.
