Office 365 - How to sign in Office 365 through a web browser?

Your Office 365 user name is your ITSC Network Account suffixed by @connect.ust.hk. For example, if your ITSC Network Account is "tmchanaa", please use tmchanaa@connect.ust.hk to Sign in. In case you have problem sign in due to the 2FA requirement, please get a Duo Bypass Code from the following address:

You can access to Office 365 in any of the following ways:

  • From O365.ust.hk (For Student and Alumni)
    1. Sign in to Office 365 from http://o365.ust.hk with your Account (username@connect.ust.hk / name@alumni.ust.hk) and Password:
    2. If any student has enrolled for two-factor authentication, you will need to login using your Account / Password and then use your device to verify your identity.
    3. If you want to add a bookmark with your browser, make sure you edit your bookmark with the address http://o365.ust.hk
    4. In case you have problem to Sign in, please select New Session under the File menu if you are using Internet Explorer or Firefox.

      You may also select New incognito window (for Chrome), New Private Window (for Safari or Firefox) or InPrivate Browsing (for Internet Explorer) before you access to http://o365.ust.hk in order to have a new private session.
  • From myPortal (For @Connect users)
    1. After sign on to myPortal, select @Connect from the top right corner
    2. Sign in to Office 365 with your User name and Password
    3. If any student has enrolled for two-factor authentication, you will need to login using your Account / Password and then use your device to verify your identity.
  • From Microsoft's Portal (all Office 365 users)
    1. Type any of the following address in your browser:
    1. Enter the organizational account (e.g. someone@connect.ust.hk or someone@alumni.ust.hk)
    2. Tick the option Keep me signed in or press the Tab key
    3. You will be redirected to UST's Sign in page
    4. Sign in to Office 365 with your User name and Password
    5. If any user has enrolled for two-factor authentication, you will need to login using your Account / Password and then use your device to verify your identity.

If your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) already connected to other Microsoft web mail service such as hotmail, Microsoft live account, etc., you will need to use New session under the File menu before you can sign on to Office 365. For Firefox or Chrome, select New Private Window or New incognito window.
